Cupping with KT Taping: I am currently offering cupping and KT taping as part of my private practice at Kneaded Yoga & Massage in Lewisville, NC and New Bern, NC. These are 30-minute stand-alone services in which you will receive cupping and taping to the affected area. These services are beneficial for anyone suffering from muscle aches and pains. I’ve worked with many people from SAHMs to student athletes.

For many years, cupping and KT taping have been used on professional athletes to achieve top performance in their sport. However, top athletes aren’t the only ones that suffer from repetitive use injuries, chronic pain, limited range of motion, and general muscle aches and pains. You may not be training for an upcoming event, but that doesn’t disqualify you from taking care of yourself.

So, how does it work? Simply put, the tape lifts the skin and fascia to relieve pressure on the compressed nerves and muscles in order to increase the healing process by reducing inflammation in the area and allowing for proper drainage and swelling reduction. Cupping works much the same way. The suction lifts and loosens the tissues to encourage blood flow to the area. Some have referred to cupping as massage from the inside out. Both modalities together can generate the healing process within the body whether you are a professional athlete, student athlete, or an average joe.

These 30-minute sessions are being offered at Kneaded Yoga & Massage (6620 Shallowford Rd., Lewisville, NC) for $45. You will receive 30 minutes of treatment which will include cupping and ending with taping of the affected area. You have the option of upgrading to include a 60- or 90-minute massage. Therapeutic massage rates are $75-$85/60 minutes and $100-$125/90 minutes.
